Hojicha is a Japanese green tea that goes through a gentle roast, which gives it its characteristic nutty aroma and a warm, caramel-tinged flavour.

You’ll find quiet notes of roasted nuts and cocoa and a soft natural sweetness, without astringency or bitterness. The result is a smooth, calming cup that sits warm in the hand.

Origin & selection

Like our matcha, our hojicha comes from the Wazuka region in Kyoto. In selecting it, we looked for a balanced roast profile that keeps the tea’s delicacy and lets its characteristic depth come through.
